During Your Appointment
When you come in for your first visit, expect to be greeted by our friendly team while they get you checked in for your appointment. Help yourself to a complimentary beverage and relax while we alert our dental team that you are ready to begin your checkup.
First visits usually entail two exams – one with our hygienist for a periodontal inspection and another with Dr. Doris Doleyres. Our team will take digital x-rays of your mouth unless you bring recent x-rays from another dentist. Our hygienist will perform your periodontal exam to determine the level of your gum health and the best cleaning treatment plan. In most cases, you will get a cleaning during your first visit.
Dr. Doleyres will carefully examine your x-rays and perform a thorough inspection of your teeth. This can alert the doctor to any oral issues that are present so she can recommend a treatment plan. We offer oral cancer screenings as well, which can help detect any early signs of mouth cancer. Dr. Doleyres will go over your oral health plan and answer any questions you may have regarding treatment or elective dental services we offer like teeth whitening, dental veneers or replacing missing teeth.
